Because of an 8 ft cake chiller that displays a wide variety of cakes, most people will be quick to associate Secret Recipe as a cake shop. But they also actually serve whole-day dining to a wide range of people. People can come to Secret Recipe Cafe for their meals at reasonable prices.

A staple of food available ranges from grilled chicken, lamb stew, spaghetti to fusion food like Tom Yam Kung and Thai fried rice. If the customers prefer something light, they can choose from popular pastries like chicken cornish, curry puffs, shepherd pies, or the different kinds of brownies.

Secret Recipe Cafe are popular for our cakes, best known for Chocolate Banana Cakes and Marble Cheese Cakes. All in all, there is a wide variety of more than thirty types of cakes to choose from.

This is my very honest opinion.

Set Recipe cakes are still averagely edible.

Other food wise, the stew and grilled chicken dish they served me sucks terribly.

Not to mention the sheepish manager and retarded late service in sending out my orders.

The Vivo branch was so under staffed.

I have been to secret recipe twice in giving them reasonable doubt, but boy was i so stupid.

I went to their Novena Square 2 outlet for food tasting 2 weeks ago and I agree that the cafe is at most average.

The Lamb Stew was not too bad but the meat could be better infused with the gravy and the mashed potatoes could be slightly salted for better flavour - we find it slightly cold and hard as well.

The Pan Grill, or Grilled Dory Laden with Lobster Gravy and served with Fries was the other main we sampled. On its own, the lobster gravy is strong with lobster tang, but we find the pairing with the fish a slight mismatch. Dory being a fresh-water fish also comes with a slight muddy taste.

The highlight of Secret Recipe belongs to its award-winning Chocolate Banana Cake. Loads of Thick Banana Slices on a Bed of Chocolate Cream with Chocolate Cake, this cake doesn’t come across as chocolaty as Awfully Chocolate’s version, and would bring a nice finale to a meal, however, we would prefer the cake to be slightly more moist.
