Han's has indeed come a long way. They still maintain fairly reasonable fare and definitely improved in their cakes. Especially the ones at Simei branch. But I think it might be a franchise or the younger generation wanted to do a market test. The cakes there are fresh and tasty!

Ordered a cake fo rmy mother. Lady serving me dropped the cake. Most of the top of the cake came off- was stuck onto box. Lady did not apologise- instead called a male fellow worker. He tells me that they will replace it with a choc truffle - the only cake they have on display that looks like the same size as the one i ordered. I tell me that I ordered a choc gateao bec that was the cake we wanted and that it was for my mother. I was very upset as now the cake- not the one we wanted- would not have any words. The original cake had the words "Happy 76th Birthday Gran the Great! We love you!" She would have been very pleased to have her friends read the words. I assumed I would n't have to pay for the cake and they would refund me the deposit. But when I asked , he said that he was giving me a more expensive cake. I explained to him that we didn't choose that cake in the first place bec we had wanted the Choc Gateao as that was the cake we liked. He just kept telling me that he was giving me a more expensive cake. Then he said I could have the deposit back or get this cake. I had to go with the cake as we needed that day- I was actually on my way to the party and the whole incident spoilt the day- plus I had to explain to my family and my mother why I didn;t have the correct cake and the one I had had no sweet message. What bad poor service- Sigh
