Mention Jack’s Place and you’re probably reminded of the homely atmosphere, the laughter of children at the next table, and the checkered green-and-white tablecloths.
But if you think that is all there is about Jack’s Place Steak House and Restaurant - one of Singapore’s most successful home-grown Steak House since 1967 - maybe it’s time to visit their newest branches.
Today, Jack’s Place’s sports a brighter look with clean lines, but its restaurants are still popular for their affordable steaks and set lunches. At night, green-checked tablecloths replace the green-and-white plastic place mats. Instead of candles, ubiquitous tea-lights cast a glow on diners. Its sunlit branches are filled with the usual group of families and office workers, but also plays host to giggly teenagers let out from nearby schools.
