Headed down to Holland Village over the new year and found a chillout gem hidden away at the stretch of banks facing the main road.

Essential Brew serves ‘tea-infused’ cuisine, quite a unique concept I’d say.  We decided to have our dinner there and took a while to choose our mains but thankfully we got some recommendations. The Rosti stack Beef was particularly yummy coz they had a layer of rosti fried to a crisp, rather different from the thick soft ones we’d find at marche. It came with black pepper sauce which was a good combi but we had to ask for more. Perhaps we were just greedy! haha.

On a more adventurous note, we also tried some Dory dishes with Oolong sauce and another with green tea sauce. They were quite nice and sweet I’d hafta say and the ladies definitely enjoyed these. Yo guys, better go for the Earlgray Steak or Seafood Galore coz they look more filling. Oh, unless you’re saving space for desserts, which you absolutely should!

Thanks to dining in a big group, we got to try the Jasmine flavored Tiramisu, Apple Crumble and this ice cream dessert they call Plataeu Serenade. Wow, this Essential Brew specialty dessert will knock your socks off! Let’s just say there’s a surprise when you get to the centre of the dessert… yummmmyy!

Oh btw, their website looks really nicely designed! Go see: http://www.essentialbrew.com/
