The Food Adventure Guide: Where To Eat In Singapore
Surprisingly, very good European food can be gotten at the cheap. I’ve been to L’artsan Bistro & Bar quite a few times now and they constantly impress me with the quality of food. The cuts of beef and pork are simply outstanding. None of that tasteless beef made tasty only because its smothered with pepper or mushroom sauce. Their beef is tasty because it is real good cuts of meat gotten from a European butcher.
I average $30 per head for a fantastic Fillet Mignon – which also includes a starter soup, a dessert sorbet (made from scratch from fresh fruit, etc), and a coffee (Segafredo). That’s like 3 courses!!
Their sandwiches are also quite different. Tasty cuts, especially the specialty smoked bacon. Sandwiches go for about $8, with fresh greens on the side.
Oh yes, the owner/chef/boss mann is German, so you’ll find real sausages and goulash here.
Bon appetite
