It’s my favourite dim sum venue for over 10 years since young!!! I love its spring rolls and lotus leaf rice

I went to Xin Fu Yum Cha 2 days ago. It is the worst restaurant that I have been. I went there alone and there wasn’t any customer in the restaurant. The manager (the China person who stands outside the restaurant) lead me to a seat with very impolite way.
He did not offer me anything and his facial expression told me that he is not very welcome of me. Though I did not think much and I thought this is just his character. 15 min laters, 2 ang mo customers walked in. Ah ha, he changed 180 degree, laugh and joke with them. Offer them the best service that he can and is so FAKE!
I was so frustated to see that scene. He is the worst ‘waiter’ that I have met so far! Looking down on locals and praising on ang mo! Hope the management will do something about it!
IT IS NOT XIN FU AT ALL TO DINE IN!

Well, i quite agree with what you have said, some restaurant are like this.
They treat “ang mo” much more better then us, Singaporean.
They though that since we are local peoples,we don’t really mind about their service.

Hey I agreed with you the waiters and the Manager there are the same. It happened to me last month, we order less they start to show faces to us.
This kind of restaurant nobody would like to step in, that why you could see empty no customer in the restaurant lor….

Hmm… I feel this is very subjective… I feel that Ang Mo are genarally more open up and humorous than most Singaporeans in terms of meeting with strangers. Imagine that you work in a restaurant. Who would you laugh or joke to? A couple who comes in asking for a table for two or a couple who comes in commenting you’re looking great today? Well maybe you can try cracking a joke to the person serving you the next time you step into XINFU or any other restaurant, you would most likely be treated just like an Ang Mo!
