With his culinary skills coming from Beijing, Master Chef, Poon Sai Chin was the first to introduce authentic Peking cuisine to Singapore. In 1971, he opened the Jade Room Restaurant and it became an instant success island wide with its genuine Peking dishes including Tim Sum and Mongolian Steamboat. Master Chef Poon later launched the “Tropical Peking-Style Steamboat Buffet”, the first in Southeast Asia.
